From January 2021 to June 2022, Mikana worked in collaboration with the City of Montreal’s Service de la Culture to help them create and redefine their programs and initiatives for Indigenous creators.
This project led to the creation of a community of practice within the City of Montreal’s Service de la culture, to share experiences and report on projects developed between Indigenous and non-indigenous people, while building relationships and trust between Indigenous peoples and cultural institutions.
The fruit of this collaboration is now available in our “Resources” section in the form of a fact sheet!
