A short guide to terminology in an indigenous context

In June 2022, Mikana felt the need to create a small guide to terminologies in an indigenous context, with the aim of providing a basic tool to support the educational workshops.

This guide is designed to encourage the integration of relevant terms into common language, while raising awareness of the use of obsolete terms. In addition to introducing these words, the guide explores their significance and provides a brief history to help understand their context. This project was carried out in collaboration with three ambassadors: Catherine Desjardins, Elisa Cohen-Bucher and Kahsennóktha.
