Ripostes, a video report in 3 parts

Riposte Reportages, in partnership with Collège Ahuntsic and Mikana, has developed a series of three video reports to explore the concept of indigenization and its implications for our institutions.

In the first capsule, Widia Larivière, cofounder of Mikana, clarifies the notions of reconciliation, decolonization and indigenization.
In the second report, Julie Gauthier, Anthropology teacher and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Pedagogical Advisor at Collège Ahuntsic, and Gilbert Niquay,

Indigenous Student Life Facilitator and Mikana ambassador, share the initiatives undertaken by the college to rename and redefine its sports team logo. These efforts then led to a broader project of indigenization and cultural consolidation within the institution.

Finally, the last video takes us to the heart of an educational gathering on indigenization, aimed at training education professionals. Participants share their thoughts on this inspiring event.
